Stuck!

I'm in the car park in Low Life with Alex. Lots of ant-lions keep coming up out of the ground. I go to the top story, over the beams but cannot stay turning teh wheel long enough before the ant lions get me and the sliding door keeps falling down. How do I do this level?

And before you call me a wuss, I'm playing on HARD, as I always play half-life this way :angel: .
