Stupid noob question...

I would like to know how to use the voice feature while multiplaying- I bought a headset (non usb) and my voice does not come across while multiplaying. Does it have to be USB?

I don't use the voice system in HL2 DM, but does it even play your own voice back to you? I don't see why it would. Can other people hear you okay?

yeah, pretty sure they can't hear me, I was playing DM with my bud on the LAN and he never heard me...

First, try recording your voice in Voice Recorder (windows program under accessories -> entertainment). If that doesn't work, make sure your mic is in the right slot. Then go under volume properties and make sure your mic isn't muted. You may have to mess around with the options a bit in hl2.

There's a "test microphone" thingy under the Voice tab in Options.
