Alrighty, I'm going to the store today... and I've got $40 bucks that I'd like to spend.

I just played the SWAT 4 demo and really really liked what I played...

And I just tried the AW demo, and got it to run fairly nice...
Trouble is, I really liked what I played of it too.

So then, this is all on the PC...

Recommendations?

I hated both games.

Save your money and update your PC.

If I remember correctly you have an FX 5xxx series card? That's going to have GRAW looking like crap, hell on my friends 6600 it looked pretty crappy, so I'd imagine it'd look even worse on the FX. But if you were to choose a game between the two, I'd definately go with SWAT4, a more enjoyable gameplay and less taxing than GRAW.

I've got a PC money plan in my bank atm.
I've only got about $200 saved up for it so far.

I just took out a few bucks for a new game from my regular account.
Don't worry about my PC :p, When I upgrade... I'm doing the whole thing.

Anyways, after reading the replies... I went out and got Serenity, Firefly, and SWAT 4 Gold Edition :D

Much obliged.

Well, I spent about $100 :o
edit : +$20
edit : +$0.75

Warfighter is good, but ultimately can't contend with the sheer awesome of running into people's houses screaming 'GIT DOWN ON THE FLORE!' then shooting them in the face with rubber bullets.

Then shooting them in the face with rubber bullets.
Then shooting the criminals in the face with rubber bullets.
Then shooting the hostages in the face with rubber bullets.
Then shooting RUBBER BULLETS RUBBER BULLETS RUBBER BULLETS

Seriously, the beanbag shotgun is the most wonderful thing ever. When armed with it, you needn't worry who is friend, who is enemy and who is innocent civilian - no, just shoot them in the face and handcuff them. If they don't submit the first shot, shoot them in the face again, and again, and again, and again. The sadistic pleasure of being able to shotgun people repeatedly in the face and still maintaining yourself as a stirling example of safe and effective policing cannot be matched by anything in Advanced Warfighter.

Plus, it's most refreshing to play a game in which killing people is actively discouraged, while responsible behaviour rewarded.

SWAT 4 kicks ass. I played both, and Advanced Warfighter was very "meh".

Plus SWAT 4 has an expansion for extra awesomeness.

Ahhh... The countless nights of torturing that old lady. Me and my brother did a lan-coop and played that mission over and over. Each time we took different weapons and shot the crap out of her. Tazers, beanbag shotguns, pepperballs, flashbangs, stinger grenades and gas nades. We hate grandmas who willingly live and protect perverted murderers... even more than than perverted murderers.

I have yet to try out the multiplayer...

How is it? Are there still plenty of servers? Netcode?

SWAT 4 multiplayer is really fun imo. There are a few game modes.. like coop, VIP, and your other typical modes. Im not sure on how to rate netcode, but if you mean things like hit detection or lag, then it is neigh flawless, never have had a problem.

And yeah, there is still quite a large playerbase.

That's good, after I reinstall UT2004, I think I'll go give the MP a whirl.

SWAT 4 nearly made me give up my dream of being a journalist to become a non-lethal weapons designer.
