Now, every one likes Tau cannons, right? They're cool. They fire zappy bolts of doom. They make cool buzzing sounds.

They also appear to not need any pivots. At all. They can, like, rotate around a fixed bearing without actually being fixed to the bearing.

Don't believe me? Look very closely at the tau cannon attached to the buggy.

See?

Damn, right? The anti-mass spectrometer has the same technology too, with their floaty pods which require no pylons to stay in place.

Now, this might be an error... this is one of those things I remember wondering about before I uninstalled HL2... there just might be a chance the spinny bits are attached to a bearing at the back of the cannon. Maybe. Somebody go and check.

But if not... well. The Half-Life universe apparently doesn't require rotaty bearings. They have invisible bearings instead, which I hereby dub... electronebblobearings.

Developers been lazy not to animate bearings man:P

Also off topic:

I just learned you can kill yourself with the buggy's cannon. Drive next to a wall, point it, charge it, and watch yourself die!
