texture problems

when i open hammer i get the error that he cant load the texture-system because he can't find the wad-file were is it normally located? because i can't seme to locate it.

Source's Hammer does not use WADs.

Error:

Failed to initialize texture system.

Solution:

This error is given when another program interferes with Hammer's ability to load its textures. Try closing older versions of Hammer as well as any image editors and other suspect programs.
