TF2 Freezes while loading

I don't know if there's another thread like this but i wanted to say that on every server i go when it loads or downloads a map,model.etc it has to freeze and i have to wait like 15 minuets to make it load again any help?

Go into your options menu and go to the last tab, it's 'multiplayer' I think and at the bottom there is an option for downloading custom content. In the drop down box choose the option which says 'never download custom content / sounds' and press OK. Try and join a game again and see if it loads any quicker.
