So many people here are way too wrapped up in the gfx, physics and hype to see any flaws in this game...

I see plenty of flaws. I've never played a game that didn't have any though. Excpet Final Fantasy VII.
The reality is that all of HL2's flaws are outweighed so completely by its successes that they become irellevant or hard to spot. This game is a true gem.
