The Combine Citadel

Because valve has confirmed that the name of the manitee gunship is "alien gunship".

And since it is in te hands of the combine, it made me believe that the strider is alien to and from the same race because it resembles the strider in many ways and it looks nothing like man made. It is not a vehicle like some people assume, it is a biomechanoid. A biological creature with mechanical atrributes. The strider looks like a biological creature but has clearly some mechanical bits like the turret on its head and the canon dangeling below its body. The alien gunship looks like some biological buglike creature to, but it also has mechanical pars on its body, the rotor blade and the turret on its head.

And its not made of combine technology because if it was, then surely the citadel would look like these strider and alien gunship creatures, or the apc's and the helicopter and scanners.. no.. those things are combine tech. and the striders and slien gunships are not but clearly under the control of whatever leads the combine army.

well what do you think are the combine soldiers then.
i think they are pure humans forced to fight for the administrator who has allied with another alien race who gave the administrator the new technology.
the combine are some kinda privatearmy.maybe the administrator found a way to inslave them and make them work for him .maybe he uses bracelets like nihilanth did for the vortigaunts .
could this be ?? hm it would make sense . the combine are definetely humans,they have red blood and all .
wow i hated the idea of aliens building those striders and gunships but with this above it would make sense

Yeah, as I've said before, between the parts of the Strider's shell, and its more obviously mechanical bits, there are definately biological organs and musculature...

And the soldiers? They could simply be rather nasty humans who have joined the Combine forces for what little power it gives them over their lives and fellow humans, or they could be some sort of brainwashed drones, driven into cruelty and heartlessness by some sort of implant/mindscrub/parasite/infestation...

I think the combine are a bunch of clones who have been modified in some way to make them more different to everyone else.

But that concept art for the 'innercity' is very intriguing.

maby it collects materials for the building of the citadel? we are seeing the citadel in diffrent stages of construction.

Ever since we first saw it slam down into the ground in the E3 2003 videos I've thought its collecting materials for buildings.

I don't think you ever get in the citadel. Cliff hanger at the end of HL2 and you have to wait for HL3 to get inside the citadel
