...are souls gained from death caused by wars... He is a soul collector. He invests in wars.

Think about it.. what material possessions can the G-man not attain himself without a huge war... He's like impenetrable! He can collect any material objects easily and make whatever money. But he isn't after material objects because if he was he would have them all by now.

Souls on the other hand are hard to get if you just kill one person at a time. He's a business man so he needs more souls faster thus creating conflicts and of course the most fun is race vs race interstellar galactic wars.

Another variation of this is that there is a bunch of extremely powerful beings in the other dimensions who enjoy watching the lower beings and invest energy or something like that into a race. The G-man is an insider who works for one of the beings to make him or the group of investors profit. So the other beings lose and the whole existence is just a game or it's like a stock market for higher beings.

Whatever it is he works for higher beings than himself. And he has more power than he appears to because he says he needs to follow certain restraints set forth by probably those same higher beings.

Oh no, not another theory.

Why will he need profits in the first place? To afford dry cleaning? To buy a new suit?

I have no G-Man theory at the moment, but I think this one is kinda weird.

And that's prolly what we'll have in ep3, gordon gets some sweet powers and well the crowbar is kinda like a sword right.. or the sword can just be metaphorical for his weapons..

An the Gman needs these profits because he collects a percentage of the energy that the higher beings invest. They get more return if they collect more souls.

I think it makes sense that Gordon is actually Seraphim or perhaps the Archangel Michael, who must defeat G-Man (Mephistopheles) with the mystickal SoulSword (crowbar, as will be revealed by Lucifer Morningstar who has been posing as Kleiner)

The offspring of Gordon(Archangel Michael) and Alyx (High Elf) will be the Chosen One(Jesus reborn? Maybe not, but clearly a Messiah), who will deliver the death blow to the Combine (forces of either Belial or possibly Satan, at this point we don't know)

DO NOT WANT!!!!

I just think the game could use a little fantasy. Ok, it could use a LOT. And more furries.

*facepalms*

What the hell is wrong with you people?

I vote this to be the most retarded thread of the day.

Maybe there are certain conditions at which the souls are obtained. And it's like this. The G-man says himself that he's following restraints.

So, G-Man = the Grim Reaper?

And I thought HL2 theories couldn't get any crazier. :rolling:

He's more like an insider in the stock market. Because his body was originally human he can traverse the mortal plane.
