I just got my Vivendi newsletter, and noticed what they said about HL2:
Sounds like Vivendi feels very proud to publish HL2, when they aren't really responsible for OVER half of HL2's developement. Especially since they threatened to delay HL2 up to 6 months..
Let's all thank VALVe for HL2. Vivendi in the first few sentences of this newsletter sounds like they think they are going to get the most attention, when VALVe made it all. The source engine. The game. The physics. THE GRAPHICS!
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I think some of you know what I'm trying to get at...Maybe its just the way I translated it...But thinking of how they treated everybody, thats what I think, and this is my opinion...
Vivendi Newsletter said:High Scores for Half-Life® 2
Half-Life 2 According to the reviews, Half-Life® 2, one of the most anticipated games of all time, has been worth the wait. IGN.com claims, "This is gaming at its best and shows that the future holds no bounds when the might of technology, precision of design, and touch of artistry work in tandem." GameSpot.com notes, "When you combine the strong single-player compaign of Half-Life 2 with the popular online play of Counter-Strike, the result is one of the most complete and compelling first-person shooter packages available." GameSpy.com boasts, "Great combat; tons of gameplay variety; the gravity gun is worth the price of admission; gorgeous graphics and forgiving hardware requirements." In addition, all three websites bestowed it with their respective Editors' Choice Award. Experience what they're talking about and pick-up a copy of Half-Life 2 at your nearest retailer!
