Thats why I thought it should be left at near the end of the game, as a transition between Kraken and Borealis; and could be used in a bossfight or assault gameplay mechanic

What do you mean by "Kraken"? We all know about the Borealis, but what does a Kraken have to do with this? Also, from my understanding, a Kraken is a sea monster from Greek mythology, so are you claiming that such a being (or a Xen counterpart of such a being) will appear in Ep 3?

Its not officially mentioned in the transmission, but it was the name of a similar research station that was cut from HL2. Its more than likely been reintroduced (same as the Borealis), albeit with a difference purpose in the story.
