Well, Wild ARMs 4 is said to be released this month, don't know for sure if it's out yet or not..just saw an ad on it, almost creamed myself. The thing that keeps me from hating it as much as WA3, is the new battle system. They have 7 hexagons on the screen, and the enemy and you move around, and attack adjacent foes. Seems kinda fun in the "I need to heal retreat" form :P

Wild ARMs Alter Code: F

A remake of the original with more twisted plot lines, more characters to use *Emma, Calamety Jane, and her butler...McDugan*sp?* They used ALOT of bits and pieces from Wild ARMs 3, which was a bust IMHO...but the story was there. They use the Encounter Evasion guage thing, the way you run around in dungouns/towns, etc. But if you're a fan of Wild ARMs, this is going to be a must have. Nostalgia FTW!

Anybody else know about these?

no and noone will since you provided zero usefull info...

on a scale from 1-10 I rate this thread: shite:dozey:

Were you living under a rock during the Playstation era? Wild Arms was a top-down RPG inspired by the wild west, with an elaborate story which involves a large race of machanical evil things who attack the game world, rendering the land scarred. You have to defeat the evil things with the use of anchient technology; Golems. It's been ages since I played the origonal, but it was damn good... a good mixture of traditional turn based RPGs with many puzzle elements. The sequels were crap though (never played them myself).

*Edit: Just to clarify things, Cyberpitz was getting a little confused with Wild Arms 4 and Alter Code F. The latter is a complete remake of the origonal (no new characters or battle systems), wheras WA4 just looks plain shit to be honest.

I've been looking forward to Alter Code F for awhile now. Aside from the "things borrowed from WA3," it sounds like a faithful remake.

Like Suicide, I've never played any of the sequels, but I might play 4. It looked interesting enough.

Wild ARMs 2 was a good sequel, 3..was a sad disappointment to me. 4 looks insteresting.

No, I had it right ;) Code F, as stated in reviews, has some different points in plot, it says you can play Emma, Calamety Jane, or her bulter, and at the end of the game, you can keep just one....each have their special abilities...I'll find the review..
Furthermore, players can acquire three more characters in addition to the three protagonists, with players able to change their active party before each round.

Thanks for being worthless.

On a scale from 1-10, I rate your reply: Moronic.

I was not even aware that Wild Arms had a sequal, the original was damn good though. What format(s) are the sequels for?

Wild ARMs 2 was on PS1, while 3 and 4 are on PS2.
