i buy Half Life 2 Episode Two and its tell me it for 2 hours !!!

I feel as if you and I are the only two people in the world who haven't played this game yet. ****sake, this is agonising. Nine hours!

the solution is to close steam and delete both of your .blob files in your c:\program files\steam directory. this includes both your AppUpdateStats.blob and ClientRegisrty.blob files. this happened to me and i couldnt preload for the longest time. hope this helps.

I Am Sooo Pisssed Off!!!!!!

I have the problem that when I try to pre-load EP2 (WHICH I PAID $30 FOR) it stops at 28% then gives the message:

"The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes"

Well it's now been 24hrs.

I went to the Steam support forums (see link below)

Cut a long story short, you need the GCF files from Episode 1 to property pre-load episode 2.

I am absolutely livid that I paid for a standalone Episode 2 and this is the treatment I get. TALK ABOUT MISLEADING & DECEPTIVE CONDUCT!!!
Why tell your consumer that they can play ep 2 standalone if they can't.

I WILL NEVER USE STEAM AGAIN!!!! If this is the service and usability a paying customer gets, perhaps it is time to pirate!!!
