I've been playing for 2 hours and yet I have been given NO idea by the game why the world is as it is, and indeed why I'm going where I'm going. Hell, by now I even forgot WHERE I'm going as I forgot since it's been so long ago I was sent on my way.
Am I too impatient? Will I get at least some answers?

Well, you wont understand the story if you just "play" the game, you have to live it!

Nah, there are bits and pieces everywhere along the maps.. It isnt like all other games, where a movie scene tells you everything

There are many clues in the game but nothing is difinitive. Watch the Video monitors and try and talk to everyone you meet early on they clue you in.

someone at the train station mentions that Dr. Breen did the same thing in city 14 as well!

The best way to get the story is to pay attention to everything you hear, or turn on the captions. It all still very ambigius at best though.

Oh how depressing. I don't mind vague or ambiguous endings of films/games but I think I would have liked a sense of purpose for this particular fight. After all, I'm the hero, and I want to know what I'm putting my life in for.
