Anyone else notice that this steam stuff seems to be making the whole intarweb crawl like a newborn infant. BTW, trying to download counter-strike and Steam just plain dies. wtf.

It's because it's eating up bandwidth.

There was a modified version of the blaster worm doing the rounds yesterday coupled with steam and it being a friday which are notorious for work web browsing of flash games etc I'm not surprised it seems sluggish. But it's gonna be localised.
