Anyone who knows how to create such thick and impressive fog ?

func_smokevolume brushes coupled with env_fog?

Could you expailn it more like a guide so I could do it myself, or if you know a tutorial that goes through that.

EDIT: got the smoke working, with a brush covering the whole map but still the smoke was nexto one wall only and not over the whole big room :(

hey garfield - if you get it all working perfectly will you do a step by step on how please...

Yes I could do that, I am playing around to get a perfect and realistic fog :)

1. Use the brush tool and cover the whole area where you want the fog/smoke to be.

2. Apply the texture "nodraw" to this brush

3. Move the selected to an entity, clicking "toEntity"

4. Add func_smokevolume to the selected entity.

Now if you use default settings the smoke will most likely not cover the area you selected, just a piece of it.

So you have to increase the particle draw width and the particle spacing distance.

Try this and add the following settings to the func_smokevolume

Particle Draw Width (units) 1250
Particle Spacing Distance (units) 220

Leave the other settings on default and pick whatever color you like.
