Anyone Else get that vibe from it? Specially the badguy things. . . feels like a sidestory that explains no children in HL2. . .

Reminds me of the first HL2 city 17 concept where everything was really gritty and post-apocolyptic, the combine were pumping out the air and everyone wore gas masks, there were children in that version, too.

Seriously though, it did remind me of HL2. The bad-guys looked like Combine Soldiers and I could have sworn I saw stunsticks in their hands.
The factory looked abit Combine-ish too. The style doesn't look so Combine, but it's something they would do.

Oh, also, there are no children in HL2 because of the Supression Field.

Well, its been almost two decades since black mesa, but the trouble is we don't know when the combine invaded. If we say it was after a few months then the youngest child would be something like 15-18.

Canon: 10-20 years ago having children became impossible. End Canon. Everyone seems to be about 30s or 20s except for Black Mesa survivors. Really what people should be wondering, if anything, is where are the OLD PEOPLE! I'd guess anyone over a certian age was executed (cut off ties to past/old Earth) and the others had their memory wiped (don't drink the water!).
