Transfer HL2 to another computer?

So in order to transfer HL2 to another computer that has 56k, all I need is the GCFs and a new version of steamintaller.exe burned to CD-Rs? What will it ask for? My login, email and password? Anything else I need to know?

burn the GCF's to disk.
Install steam on new pc.
Copy GCF's to same location on new pc.
Run steam.
Log in with a new steam account.

Hl2 should appear to be downloaded
