Translation of closecaption_english.dat

Hi dudes!I try to translate HL2 in to my lang...but have a problem.I successed to translate "gameui_english.txt","valve_english.txt","episodic_english.txt" But I can't to translate closecaptions.In the folder resources have two files with names closecaption_english.txt and closecaption_english.dat.When i edit closecaption_english.txt haven't got a efect.I tryed to edit closecaption_english.dat with NOTEPAD using UNICODE, after that the game not started and showing me a message :"bla, blaa blaaa...problem with closecaption_english.dat"..
Any Ideas?May be i have to convert edited closecaption_english.txt to closecaption_english.dat...BUT HOW?

Oh yes i talking about with VALVE and they are allow me to translate their game because in such a way i will popularize their game in my country....ROFL!!!

Would you help me, or you will continue to flooding in this thread?

Hey guys, I would appreciate your help. The Czech HL2 community is really desperate because of how Valve protected its Closecaption subtitles file in HL2: Episode One. We really want to do a czech translation... If you know how to edit files *.dat in episodic\resource and hl2\resource (e.g. closecaption_english.dat) let us know. I beg you on my knees

Hey Stormrage! It seems that the problem is still unsolved because the Polish still didn't cracked it. So my last hope is reply from Valve or some skilled programmer that will manage to edit the *.dat files. For the time being we have to wait.

Btw Pilsner Urquell is better than Staropramen :cheese:

I know one programator, which can edit all english txt to slovak language visible in game. Such only contact him on icq: 330283437 -

he can edit and translate language in half life 2 episode one from DAT to TXT or text from TXT put to DAT. I do not know any more about that sorry
