Translation...

I am very happy that EP2/Portal/TF2 are in my language [Polish] but they aren't too good it seems like translators doesn't actually see what whey are translating.
How about your language?

I have a boston accent but there wre no boston accent translations. I couldnt tell what they were saying when I heard "caR", "baR", "haRvaRd"

I work as a software localizator and I can assure you we rarely see what we are translating about.

Yes but there are meaning mistakes. Polish is a very hard language but those are major mistakes.

you seem to be able to speak decent english, whats wrong with that?

Unfortunately, many games have poor translations, saying that HL2 is one of few who actually try to provide some multi-language support.

Nothing 1st time I completed English But 2nd time I hear about Polish is coming so I switched on sublities and turned them off after 30 mins because those mistakes hurts my eyes ;]

Maybe they found themselves in time pressure. Impossible deadlines happen, unfortunately.

Bethesda asked the company I work for to localize Oblivion in just three weeks. We refused. I wonder if they ever realized they were talking nonsense.
