Apologies everyone if this thread has been created before, but since I can't find it anywhere, I decided to create it.
Did the combine ever succeed in sending the transmission package? At the end of Episode 1 Alex suggests it is being sent to the Combine Overworld as Gordon and Alex flee City 17 by train. If the combine did succeed, and they did send the coordinates for Earth-Combine Overworld teleportation, then isn't it a matter of time before the combine return? Or did closing the super portal (from Episode 2) prevent the combine from returning (provided the Borealis doesn't provide another alternate teleportation option between the two worlds)?
From all the clues that were provided in the episodes, it seems like the Borealis will in fact allow for teleportation between the two worlds...maybe allowing Gordon and Co. to finish the fight by destroying the empire's home world. :bounce::sniper:
