Ubisoft

It's all good.

Not heard of Blazing Angels.
GT, a serious driving game will be just what the console needs to show people how serious the console can be.
Monster Trucks will probably be similar in vein to ExciteTrucks, so that could be interesting.
Prince of Persia, a well established franchise, should show peop,e how commited 3rd parties are to the Wii. Especially if this is a Wii-exclusive continuation.
And finally Far Cry will prove that converted shooters will work on the console and may even inspire Valve to port Half Life 1/2/both... *prays*

EDIT: This plus the other.. 3? games announced so far.
Rayman
Red Steel
etc.

Unfortunately Far Cry is probably a port of the X-BOX line rather than PC. Nevertheless it's nice to see it getting some third party support, I'm mainly interested to see if CoD3 will be any good on the Wii.

Yeah. It would just be nice to see what they can do with the Wii aiming controls. Same for COD. ;)

I certainly hope Far Cry is not a port, but a new game entirely. I can't imagine they wouldn't want to start a new version of the franchise for the terrific controls of the Wii, but who knows what they'll do...

The rest sound great. Blazing Angels looked cool in videos, but I have yet to see it in action for myself. Prince of Persia on the Wii will be interesting as well.

You forgot Red Steel! Thats Ubisoft!

FAR CRY!?

Oh my god. I think I just produced more semen than humanly possible.

You think you got it bad nightshade?
My walls are a different color now! lol.

So that's why I was shooting blanks...

So if the Wii bombs, Ubisoft bombs?

That can't be good for Ubisoft :|

Hardly. Ubisoft is enormous. They're big enough that they can take an enormous loss on the Wii and still rock on the PS3 and XB360.

The chances of that are none. In case you haven't been keeping up, the Wii is generating a ton of interest.

Besides, Ubisoft is now a HUGE publisher and has many other projects for the other systems. (a few have recently been released)

Ubisoft still has these games announced for the Xbox 360, and many of these will also appear on the PC and PS3:

Assasins Creed (after exclusive time on PS3 expires)
Blazing Angels
Enchanted Arms
Far Cry Instincs: Predator
Killing Day
Naruto
Open Season
Over G Fighters
Peter Jackson's King Kong
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW)
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Untitled John McTiernan Game*

*John McTiernan - the director of Die Hard and other huge action films.

So. Even if the Wii games in the original post don't sell very well, I think it's safe to say Ubisoft will remain very profitable. Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, and GRAW alone are enough to make them filthy rich.

Wow GT on the Wii. No need for an extra steering wheel! \o/
