After the ambush, where Alyx sees the power cord to take down the fields goes up to the house in the hills, and the house has its own mini force fields and a grenade cache, how do you shut down the fields with the grenades?

After taking out the turret with a grenade, Alyx opens the first Force Field for you. Then shoot the lock on the Ladder, climb up and go over the Roof and the Pipes so you get behind the second Force Field. (I think there's a Poison Headcrab scuttling on one Roof). Then, behind some Barrels there is a Vent, go trough and there's one of the Energy-Orb Generators.

You have to open the large Door and Block it with a Crate from closing again, then shoot the Energy Orb with the Grav Gun so that it flies out under the Door. (If you don't shoot it out of the Room, it will bounce back into the Generator)

I got it thanks. I had walked up to the building and there was no turret, apparently you had to drive up before it would load the turret to knock down.
