Using the Manipulator (yup, another one..)

OK, its a stupid question but I was wondering if i'll throw a mattress on a Combine do u think he'll die? :frog:
and that leads me to another question, do u think that if I press the "throw" button alittle longer (will I'm lifting an object with the Manipulator) it will add more speed and power? :O
