But they are late again . No screenies of de_inferno. Is it just me, or do you guys think that HL2:AM wont be out till next year...

But that AlienSwarm thing looks pretty cool. Is it supposed to be like Starcraft?

Occasional delays are understandable...but valve on the other hand, delays EVERYTHING which is out of the question. Like for the contest maps, they told us we would get them sometime in february, then february 28th came and it was changed to sometime in march, we waited all through march with no comment on valve about the maps. Finally, we got them mid-to late april. But somehow I am not surprised, this is typical valve.

As long as the releases are top quality, I don't mind the delays.

Knowing Valve's history, it's pretty naive to think Aftermath will come out this year.



But when it does come, it'll be available a full 1-2 months earlier if it were being physically published. No need to send release candidates to a publisher, no need to wait for gold, no need to wait to manufacture and distribute.

Things get delayed FOR THE BETTER.

They give approximate release dates and they try for them. Yet people just don't even relize that.
They don't have to redo de_inferno. They don't have to do anything for us. I mean when things get delayed then usually something better is going into them or there approx. date was off.

Valve has tons of projects for there rather small team.

Damn people, just get over them being late. HL2 got delayed for about a year. Guess what valve could have got the release in 2003..yet they would of had 1/2 the content. I believe gamespy's super long interview had this.

Anyway get over it, they gave a shot for a release date and they didn't make it. Docotrs give approx dates for babies being born, guess what there usually off. Gonna get pissed at them to?

Valve makes games and we enjoy them, they could rush like a few other companies, but no. They would rather give us a nice solid amazing map.
