Ok i just started using 3d max and i'm having trouble tryin to figure something, probably very simple, out...im trying to make a roof, but so far all i know how to do is extrude and bevel, which gives me the wrong shape roof...i've attached an image to show what i have and what i need, if anyone can tell me how to get it that would be appreciated

Thanks

Easy. Go to Sub-object > Vertex and select all the vertices (blue dots) at the point of the roof. They should turn red. On the right you should see a menu. "- Edit Geometry"

Scroll down a little until you find a sub-menu saying "Weld". By "Selected" type 10 and push the button. You should have a pointed roof...

Easier than that, just make a cut in the middle of the top face of the cube. Select sub-object, edge. Select that edge you just cut. Move in on the Z axis (up).

lol I couldn't see the picture right :) Bit small. Anyway just follow what Ti1337oon said

Cheers guys :) Told yous it was easy lol..gotta start somewhere tho

actually easier than that ....when ur making your box make sure it has 2 width segments or something like that .....it will automatically orient the cut to the center of the cube
