Am I supposed to be impressed by something here? Please point me to it because I can not find a single thing worth anyone's time.

Hahahaha, the guy who's making this mod posts here. That description is one of the most stupid things I've ever read.
physiologically confused
'Is this my arm, or my leg?'
an unusual human seen ever since she was thought to be born, when her life was spared after a suicide attempt
Dramatic tension! I can see the story unfold elegantly!

Why? Because you are programmed to play the same zombie/war/EA game based mods over and over again? I just wanted to make something different and original for the source community, and it that meens being worthless of anyone's time then my mission is accomplished better than anything I could have imagined.

After this project I am probably going to move onto another game engine, the source community is large but hardly full of anyone worth my own time with their addiction of zombie mods and what-not.

I hate zombie games, and I am hardly a big trend follower. Way to be hyper-defensive to the point of making gigantic assumptions.

I simply see nothing interesting enough to make worth of a thread about this. That's not really your fault as you seem to be at an early development stage, I was more talking to the thread maker.

But for the record, you can make something completely unique and original and have lots of people like it. Portal, for example.

Acting like you're glad nobody likes your idea as if that confirms to you it is truly unique and original is kind of silly. It's not that hard to make something never done before. Having it be good, too, is another story.

"hardly full of anyone worth my own time" Sorry but that just makes you look like a twat. And it screams infantile, stubborn, and you being sour about nobody liking your idea. "Oh I'm going to make this cool original source mod. What, nobody likes it? Well fine, who needs you guys! You're not worth my time /holier than thou" Do you ever see anyone else respectable doing this? There are plenty of very inspired mods for Source, and plenty of people enjoy something unique.

Your putting out an incredible amount of ignorance in order to justify the reaction to your mod and what you're going to do about it.

When I meen the source community I meen the developers, sometimes I seriously doubt that they have ever will learn how to make something interesting.

How am I making assumptions when they are true, there are only like 5% of Half-Life 2 mods that arn't war/zombie/other mod based mods, it's mental for some of these "developers" on what they are doing. When have you ever seen a UT3 mod on ModDB with the header using MS paint in the past month?

I honestly could not care less if anyone didn't likes the idea, but obviously they do considering I get like 2-3 steam invites a day from people. I am making this mod for myself, the community's output is just for the experience, and 1352 is doing it (as I assume) for themselves as well.

Sorry how I was acting like a little kid from Xbox live there, I am really tired (4:00 in the morning) and some times I don't meen to type what I am really feeling. But I couldn't care less what anybody says, I will make this mod if I have to slaughter every living creature on this planet.

The developers in the source community are probably the most creative bunch out there. While you see nothing but point-and-shoot shoot shoot and shoot some more, there is a lot of innovation going on. Take Left4Dead. The A.I. Director, the not having to aim for every single zombie, shooting at the horde, the setting, the co-op, the music.

Portal is revolutionary. You should know that.

Even TF2 is creative and wholly different in its style. From the look, the developing the characters, to the balancing that requires teamwork from anyone desiring victory.

As for creative mods? Your %5 stat may be accurate, but those mods are the succesful ones. Look at MINERVA, Research and Development, and others like that.

Just be ready to accept the community's input. That exact idea makes VALVe what it is. Anyway, good luck with your mod.

PS: Keep in mind that a good mod needs to be entertaining. Creativity only goes so far.

I can't get into detail with the combat system right now, but I can tell you it will be something new, something fast and adverse, and above all, something god-like without the use of any firearms. It'll be entertaining, just give us some time.

I do not answer to you.

I see what you did there.

I support what you're trying to do, but I don't understand why don't post all mods, but popular ones. Have ever been on PlanetPhillip? They really have some good, but underrated mods. I never seen you talking a word about them.

no reason just thought this mod deserved to posted up for viewing. Phillip does a good job on his own. This is a open forum for all to discuss I cant post them all.

I do not answer to you.

I wasn't telling you to do anything. And it was a rhetorical question because I know there isn't a good answer.

But you made me laugh with that post so it's ok.

I have nothing to do with this thread, but everyone should stop arguing, it's pointless just as everything you do in the false reality. Do something worth your time, as I am, I'm working on the mod right now as we speak so that my mod can deserve to be posted on this site.

I think the mods BlueWolf posts here are just what shows up on ModDB, which is cool, and has most every mod out there. Still, PlanetPhillip is THE place for singleplayer mods.
