Vote for Week 4 Photoshop Competition!

We're a bit over schedule here, but nevermind. It's time to vote for who you think did the best photoshop this week.

You only get one vote, and have a day to decide on which one.

The poll has been made differently this week, because of the sheer amount of entries we had. This time the entries are grouped by their author. Next week's photoshop will most probably only allow one entry per author, to cut down the sheer amount of them.

I think the reason there was a massive amount of entries this week was because the topic was too easy. The two previous weeks involved actually creating entirely new art on your own, where as this involved 2 minutes with the polygon tool to cut out and put a potatoe somewhere. I know in some instances people actually had to do other things, but you can tell from looking at a lot of them they were just slap together jobs... There have been some really good ideas posted in my ideas thread for new topics, everyone should check them out

I was torn between 7 & 9.
I went with the spudcrab, but the text on #7 still made me laugh.
Too bad you can't vote twice, but that would cause the system to break down.

True, the topic was easy, but the entrants who managed to trancend the simplicity will be the ones who do the best votes-wise. Thus, effort is further encouraged for future events. Hooray!

I really thought the idea of depicting Gabe Newell as a giant potato was original and funny. So Element Alpha wins my vote, with Kornflake in close second.

I'm a little sad about the low number of votes;(. I hope it's only because of the delay that this week's contest had. It didn't take nuclear science to make my submissions, but I did put some time, thinking & effort in them and I thought more would vote when the day came.

We'd better have a real good eye-catching topic this week, like "Sex, female nudity & halflife monsters". You know what I mean...

also: wouldn't it be better to close the poll after two or three days instead of one? That way people would have a better chance to actually vote.
I mean, come on! At the moment I'm typing this, there have been 3900 views on this weeks competition, but only 28 votes. That's 3872 votes missing. Or how about this: 28 is 0.7% of 3900 !!

First you're a headcrab, then a prowler, a combine, then a zombie, after that a stryder, and at the end, you become the most horrible of all monsters: the moderator !!! (run for your life)

Sidenote: as a matter of fact fenric, I'm pretty glad about the draw. The picture Flyingdebris submitted shows much more talent than I have. He incorporated the potato on the rotten dude like I couldn't have, and it's a pretty cool picture as well. It seems most people prefered my Hawaiian Gabe potato, while I feel better about the "spudfather" submission. But I just like the godfather series I guess.

Lastly: do you guys agree about keeping the poll open a little longer?

I'm ready for this contest to end as soon as possible. I really didn't like this contest if you haven't figured out by now . I also think it's not a good idea to change the rules midway through.

On another point... I don't want to sound whiney but I think people should vote more based on what the contest was asking, not was the funniest.

Make it blend in as good as possible. was one of the contest requirements. According to this rule, I would vote for flyingdebris, not someone who made a comic that the potatoe stands out of place in. No offense to whoever made that, it was a good comic... but I just don't think it was what the contest was asking for.
