Walkthrough needed

After the Antlion nest, the part where i'm bout to rejoin the Vort and i need to operate the elevator.

I stand on the elevator, face the switch and hit E, it moves with clanking noises but soon moves back.


what do I do?

You need to find a missing gear in the water

There's another gearboxy looking thing lying around in the water on the other side of the cave. You'll notice it has a gear which has come off which the one you need is missing. Pick it up. Stick it on the one by the elevator. Voila! Working lift

Take a look at the elevator machinery. There is a gear missing. Find it!
