water hazard again : )

Hi all
I'm playing HL2 with the steam soft, and there's something that doesn't work in the water hazard level.
Just at the beginnig, when you arrive to the large red dock and warehouse : I kill those sob, I climb up, and hit the barrel (and also lift it and throw it away), but the cage full of supplies won't go down!!
Is there a bug or anything in the steam release, 'cause I went on this page (here), and they say that kocking the barrel is sufficient enought to get the cage down.

You need to knock the barrel completely out from the wheel so that it can spin freely.

If the wheel still doesn't turn, there might be something else jammed in the gears. Either that, or it is a bug. It's not much of a big deal anywho. It only contains some basic supplies.

The weels does spin freely, that's the point! And still no cage...
I know it is not a big dea, but if I could get a few amo and health, it would be better!
