Weird Button Problem

Hey guys and gals, i have a extremly weird problem which has never occured before.

I loaded up half-life 2 today and was gafawed to notice , that my jump button and ONLY my jump button does not work. I have my key board plugged in, and i have jump assigned to right SHIFT. Every other key works, why would my keyboard be doing this lol? ANy help or info would be great....

I would try using the search function, this has happened to a lot of people as far as I am aware but I cannot remember the remedy.

1 try this same shift button in another game or app.
then report here.

yup, works in every other add-on/ game froms team EXCEPT half-life 2. Weird... hmmm

LOL. I think that I would just go into teh control options and check to see whats going on there. Also do what someone else mentioned, validate your steam files.

To validate your Halflife 2 files, by running steam then going to start ---> run and putting in the following command
steam://validate/220

lol got it working, just reloaded a previous game. I think it was a bad batch of saves that were the culprit at hand. Works fine now lol
