What exactly IS the "Innsbruck Experiment"?

OK, a few clues to this are mentioned in the game.
First, When you're talking to Eli in BME, he says that Judith Mossman was up for Gordon's job at Black Mesa, but that Gordon edged her out with his experience and Innsbruck.
Second, On the HL2 OST, the song that plays in City 17 tunnels at the beginning of the game is called "The Innsbruck Experiment".

Anybody know anything about this?

Gordon worked at the University of Insbruck before being hired by Black Mesa. He did teleportation experments there.

Apparently there was real experiment in Innsbruck - with quantum mechanics, back in 1997.
