What folder contains the HL2 Main game?

I am having this quite annoying error that disallows me from playing the airboat levels, I get like an error 19 (don't have the time to reproduce right now, ) but something like "error 19: unexpected map" or some such thing.

I was wondering what folder contains all the actual in game content, so I can delete it, and redownload HL2, I have used the option in Steam that deletes local content, but that had no actual effect, and I still encountered the error, if you could tell me what file I should delete, then redownload via Steam, I would be very appreciative.

Not sure if your solution will work, I'd wait for a more technical-knowledgeable person to respond, heh.

couldnt u just right click on hl2 in ur play games section and delete the local content? that way just seems safer then just deleting the folder. but hey thats just me

I have used the option in Steam that deletes local content, but that had no actual effect.

The Delete Local Content simply deletes the .GCF and not the game folder if I remember right.

So you have to manually delete the folder I think...
