What happened to Dr. Rosenberg

What happened to doctor rosenberg. He Barney, Walter and Simmons escaped at the end of Blue Shift but Barney is the only one in Half life 2 but they are not. Also what happened to Dr Keller, Dr. Cross and Dr. Green from the ps2 version of Half Life? I mean they were the ones to close the rift even before Freemen went to Xen.

My ideas are
1. Dr. Rosenberg was either killed of taken to Nova Prospeckt when the Combine took over.
2. Or he killed himself rather than be taken by the Combine (the same thing for Walter and Simmons).
3. Dr. Keller, Dr Cross and Dr. Green were killed when the nuke went off at Black Mesa
4. Dr. Collett Green is actualy Alyx's mother (the picture of the Vance family makes Alyx's mother look like Dr. Green). Dr Green kept her original last name because her work was done under that name.

I dont think that "Decay" with Cross and Green is really thought as a official part of the plot, so I dont think that really matters. And that Green being Alyx´s mother... I dont think so.
What comes for Rosenberg, maybe he was relocated to another city? Like City 14 or something? Maybe well see him on Blue Shift 2 or something

I dont think valve really care about those characters because as they have stated before, its gearbox's creation and it was only to allow a multi co op on PS2....they dont fit into the hl universe really.

Well, actually, Dr. Green might have eventually reached Xen somehow, and was killed in the largest of Nihilanth's trap chambers.
I think someone once mentioned finding her body in the Icthyosaur's underwater cavern there.

Rosenberg could be in another city, yeah, sure. I think Rosenberg is in the BMRF picture in Kleiner's lab btw, to the far left.

No...Marc Laidlaw stated in an email that Raxe X was gearbox's creation..along with shepard because they wanted to introduce new enemies...and race x didnt get in the way of the actual half life story so they let thrm go ahead.

Well the Barney that you play in Blue Shift is, it's more than reasonable to assume, is Barney in HL2. So Rosenberg could conceivably be in City 17, however there is no mention of him or indeed of anyone, outside of the characters you meet, from BMRF.
That said, I couldn't give a flying f*ck.

They'd make logical characters for a similar science team working in another City in an Expansion. HL2 itself didn't need them simply because it had enough characters already. Tis early days yet.
