My supersneaky thief has finished all the quests for the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves guild. Security and Sneak are maxed. What to do next? I have no interest in the main quest, so that means the Fighters and the Mages Guild. Or are there any other quest arches that are worth exploring for a stealthy char?

If you walk around in the cities, especially the Imperial City and talk to people, sometimes they have a quest for you.

Become a fighter. Max out your blade / block skill, and play the game from a different perspective :D

That's what I'm doing now that my sneak and marksman skills are maxed. This also means I get a bonus to strength endurance... I'm almost at 100 eith the latter, and strength is maxed out.

As for quests... I think you have to have a clean criminal record to join the fighters' guild. Whether that means you need to have no bounty on your head at the time that you join, or that you have to have NEVER had a bounty, I'm not sure.

I'm in the mages guild at the moment. You need to complete a quest at every major city before you get accepted into the Arcane University. Then you can make your own spells (not much use seeing as I only have 150 mana) and magic items (which is absolutely awesome- you can give items a +10 bonus to basically anything if you have a grand soul gem). So mages guild = good.

I'm about to start the main quest as well. In all my 80 hours of play, I've never been to Oblivion ;)

Tell me SUICIDE, do you have to be in the Fighter's Guild in order to get blade training? Coz I can't find it anywhere else. Light and Heavy armour training can be found in the market districts, but not blade/block :(

Hmmm, I was hoping on another quest arch that focused on 'the dark side'. I'll just go for the single quests in the cities then. When my infamy has reached acceptable levels again, I will prolly join the Fighters Guild.

Easy: you complete all of the Daedra Shrine quests! They often involve a moral dilema meaning you have to do some pretty nasty stuff to complete them, thereby fulfilling your need to continue on with your bad (dark) self! Good luck--some of them can be awfully tough! Boetha comes to mind...

dont waste your money on training ..use your sword to gain experience in blade ..block is shield, light and heavy armor you get from getting hit by an enemy ..trainers are kinda useless because you can get the same training by just using your skills

Just find the shrines. :P

Some of them have level requirements and one requires all of the shrine quests to be done first, but otherwise, just walk up to them in the wilderness then talk to the worshippers and then to the statue. Enjoy! They are brilliantly wrought and the rewards are some of the absolute best in the game! SPOLIER: Goldbrand anyone?

Thanks for the tip, VoS!!! I'll just walk into the wilderness tonight to see what I can find.

Nice! They're evil--enjoy! It's a long quest just to find them all!!

It's more fun just finding them by exploring, rather than activly looking through the countryside for them. In addition, if you talk to people, they will tell you the location of 2 or 3 of them which are hard to find. Can't remember who told it to me, but by the time I realized how cool shrines are I already had 3 on my map even though I never traveled to them.

Yeah the artifacts are fun, although quite a few of'em are rather useless, and more just funny, like the Wabbajack others can be a great help, like the Skull of Corruption..
All these artifacts tho, they're the same as in the previous ones, it'd be nice if they introduced some new ones to the lore in an expansion or such, I mean, even tho I haven't done all the daedric quests on Oblivion, I still know all the rewards, how? I did all of'em on Daggerfall, although I can't tell for 100%, so far the rewards have all been the same.:)
Only item I'm artifact I'm wondering about is the Hircine one, in Daggerfall this was a ring which allowed you to remove almost all of the disadvantages of being a werewolf, but seeing as werewolves aren't in Oblivion(yet) I'm not sure what it does.:)
If anyone knows, please do tell.

Its true. A few popped up for me and I couldn't fast travel to them as I hadn't been there before. It is a lot of fun to be wandering around the forests and mountains and happen upon a demonic statue looming over its followers in a forbidden glade or something. I never set out to get them all in one fell swoop, but if you have done much of the other evil stuff in the game, this is a great way to keep that going because as I said earlier, it will take a long time to find them all, let alone find them and complete their quests! And what fun it is too!
