Like for example: Can someone show me a pic @1280x1024 vs. a pic @ 1024x768. And anyone know like what settings were turned on? 4xAA, 8xAF, medium texture...etc. Sry for asking ;(

Me hopes not...b/c I don't think my 9800 pro 128, 2600+ barton, and 512mb hyperxPC4000 would cut it these days. It seems that a 9800xt is reccomended and a x800 platinum uber money56324234 is the standard

Didn't those also only have Dx8 quality.

The bink videos were actually run at a widescreen setting, but I'm not sure what the exact specifications are.

848:480
its almost exactly 16:9
the videos were rendered with 4x fsaa (maybe even 6x fsaa) and at least 8x aniso filter.

the videos got streched out to 1024x576 to match most desktops standard resolutions.

those videos are not hard to produce even for home users. valve took over the framesteady render code from quake to hl1 and now to source, so every1 can render high quality movies if they want to. (valve even put in more special features in source that will making complex videos even more easy .. <3 for that)

what videos? the binks? They were without AA and AF afaik
