Whats with the scoring?

I don't understand the overall team score in a team deathmatch. Sometimes its like 76 to 3 and stuff like that. Does anyone know why? Here is a picture incase you don't know what I'm talking about.

I have no idea either.

I did notice once that my team was at 46 points, and then the next 3 kills (I got 2 of them) increased the score by 2 pts each, until it got to 50 where the server ended (really low score, maps last like 5 minutes each, kinda crappy).

Hmm, that doesn't quite doesn't explain why the Combine team in the picture has 12 and the Rebel team has 72. Like I said, sometimes it has really weird scores where one team has only 3 points at the end of a match and the other like 80. I really want to know this is happening. Its like, whats the point of team deathmatch if you don't know who is going to win? I play and play my best yet I don't get it, this scoring thing has to be fixed. I want to feel as though I am actually playing to win, not for some random drawing thing. But oh well.

Still, it makes no sense. Where does it generate those numbers from?? Those numbers have nothing to do with any of the individual scores of the team members.

The only trend I was able to see is that the combine team has more deaths than kills unlike the rebels.
Maybe there are penalties for TK or suicide.

It's a bug. When the score reaches a number (i dunno what) it resets to zero.

Fix it, Valve! (plz! )

Ya, I noticed on one server I was playing on that every time one team's score reached 100, it would keep resetting over and over again. Kinda wierd if you ask me....

I guess it only happens sometimes. Here is a match that I was just in and the scores never reset. I think its supposed to add the kills up. Of course in this picture they don't add up right, but I think its because some people left the room but it stayed in the total.

I've seen times when the teams had really low scores when everyone present had 20-30+ kills. So it's either bugged or using a very strange algorithm, in either case it should be corrected so people can actually understand it.

Dumb dude: was that taken when the match was over?
Cause I've noticed that the score is almost always wrong when the match is over, but not when you bring it out during the match.
