When do I get the gravity gun / manipulator?

I've seen ppl with it very early in the game, like Red Letter Day chapter...

Is this normal? Have I missed out on it? I'm on chapter 3 I believe, Route Canal, or whatever...

You get the gravity gun in chapter 5.

If you've seen somebody with it in an early level then they are using cheats....
It's not recommanded to use cheats since it can lessen your gaming experience.
