It could be just Half-Life 2 deathmatch. It could be Team Fortress 2. It could be CounterStrike 2. Something is up. When I asked at the end of the show if there would be regular Deathmatch, the presenter smiled and said, "I cannot comment on that at this time."

This is hardly news at all, we've already known that Valve aren't giving anything away at this time yet. The comment neither confirms or denies the use of regular Deathmatch in HL2.
