When is SDK coming out?

that is a week old and we already know that coming from valve, soon can mean anyhwere between 1 hour and 10 years. anyway, they said we would get a surprise near or at release of hl2 and i really wanna know what it is :bonce:

The textures are renamed to materials and are placed in the /materials-directory

Yup, I'm definately awaiting the SDK (I don't really have any ambitions to map for CS). It was hinted that the "surprize" would be TF2...although I think that is still a little ways off (and I doubt it will be entirely free).
