When will it be unlocked?

So HL2 is coming out 11/16, we know that. But when will it be unlocked for Steam purchasers? When it hits midnight in your timezone? When it hits midnight at Valve Headquarters? Or when the first store opens in Malaysia with it for sale?

I'd guess midnight Valve time. I see no reason for them to do otherwise, unless they stagger it across timezones to lessen bandwidth hits.

Steam users: Half-Life 2 will be unlocked on Steam on November 16th as well. Unless of course any retailer breaks the street date and puts it out on shelves sooner, then Steam will unlock Half-Life 2 sooner.
