What happened to them? We were promised that every video shown in Liepzig would be put on Steam as a Hi - Res version.. I remember the fantastic Bink videos before Half-Life 2 came out, those were fantastic...

I think they will in a couple of days. It is the weekend, after all :)

I hope they will come soon, but i think it's a shame that you can see or download low res from the web before steam release them.
Maybe it has been done in this way so gaming sites can get them and show them to their customers before any body who has steam can see them.
I think it's purely a marketing strategy to ensure to get their favours

According to Valve, the new Episode 2 trailer will be released publicly early next week in a high quality format.
Oh yes.

Were we actually promised ALL the videos? Expect the new HL2 EP2 trailer, but NOT the gameplay vids. I expect we won't see the Portal vid, though the TF2 vid will probably appear.

When I logged into Steam today there was an announcement for the new videos that are going to be released in the next few days.

Edit: Forgot to mention how great these vids are going to look in hi-res. The 100MB Epi 2 teaser from Steam looks fantastic.

I know for sure that Episode Two and Team Fortress 2 trailers will be released on Steam.

Portal was presented as a real-time demo, so there won't be probably any footage released.

And unfortunately - EP2 gameplay videos won't be released on Steam. They said they're too big. It's strange... I loved sweet HL2 gameplay binks. Who knows, maybe they will change their minds. Maybe we should write them some e-mails? ;)

Valve can still release the high resolution gameplay videos to the major gaming sites. They don't necessarily have to be Steam exclusive.
