All 939 processor's are going to be in short supply for the next 6 months or so. If you can find 939 processor, it will likely be over priced.

not exactly SHORT supply...i mean if you want one you can get it. but its not like everyone in the world is going to buy 4 939's in a month anyway. if you want it you can get it bandit remember that. newegg always restocks, they never just close out an item.

:naughty: It has been said you can buy an X800 XT as of now. Yes, there IS an Asus version but it doesn't look quite as good as the Pro version, but who cares it's what quality it has to offer that counts, also who knows if Asus might change the look of the card or not.

i went to thier site a few days ago, both the xt and the pro version have that gay as anime slut. i fukcing hate asian anime. i cant belive they put that shit on it, atleast a good desighn would have been better, im ripping mine out second i get it.

plus i hope they do change it, that site guinny posted has a diff cover if anycover it seems like.

My UPS is a APC 800VA (540Watt). I'm using 320Watts right now basicly Idle (PC + 2 CRT monitors). Goes to 270Watts when I turn off my second monitor (gasp!).
When I game it can rise any were 20-60 Watts.
I wouldn't get a UPs below 400Watts at all.

Just looking at those specs... why the peefor? VALVe has already said in an interview that they wont be optimising for HT, so any slim advantage that it would have over an Athlon 64/FX (with HT) is down the gurgler.

Peefor is a "nickname" for the Pentium 4. I was suggesting that you should go with an AMD Athlon 64/FX processor instead of the P4 - an Athlon 64 3000+ will cost you around the same, perform the same if not better, and be able to run in a 64bit enviroment - so extra performance there.

i dont know anything about athlons, you see, i understnad what ram does, what a cpu does and what the purpose of a vga is. i understand these and how they work, i really know jack shit about 64 cpus. so i guess i stayed away. but im just tryin gto get the most out of hl2, thats all mothing more.

Don't really don't need to know anything more when it comes to AMD processors - they're pretty much the same as your standard Intel. 64 bit is much the same - you don't have to worry.

To get the most out of HL-2 it might actually be better to get a 64bit processor as Gabe has confirmed there will be a 64bit client for HL-2.
