Where is the folder that has the HL2 music?

I'm trying to find the folder that has the HL2 music in it, but I can't seem to find it. I read that I would find it if I went like so: C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\sourcesounds
I tried going there, but when I got to SteamApps, there was no folder called sourcesounds. Does anybody know where to find the music?

There is a Source Sounds.

'Source sounds.GCF' is a GCF file, not a folder. To be able to hear the in-game sounds and music you need a program to do it with - Google for GCF Scape.

I got the GCF Scape program, opened it and looked in the steamapps folder but I still couldn't find it.

Open SourceSound.gcf with GCF Scape and there HAS to be a folder with music/sounds.

The only things I see in the steamapps folder is a folder called "media" and another one called "SourceMods".

Do a Windows search for 'source sounds'. If it's not there then you have some whooole 'nuther problumz.

Yea thats an easier way to do it, but the downloaded ones are sometimes faulty.
It's better to just extract the REAL ones from the game.
Or buy the cd.
But the 2nd option isn't very tempting.

Besides, the game has ALL of them, the bonus tracks too.

My favorite song is the one that plays when you get out of the mines and you enter the bright world of no zombies (except that one that is just about to tear into you, and those zombies that are getting shot down the road, and that fat zombie that is waitting for you in the house, and that gang of zombies that is scaring the poor, helpless combine, and so on...Oh yeah, that song is great!).
