Who is LM?

In the Half-life and Blue Shift manuals, the letters from the Office of the Administrator (OTA) were signed LM. As we now know from Half-life 2 that the Adminsitrator was

Yeah, it sounds like LM was Breen's secretary.

I'm not so sure about that. It's from the OFFICE of the Administrator, not necessarily the Admin himself. And we know that the Admin had many men in Black Mesa prior to the Resonance Cascade...perhaps LM really WAS the G-Man, manipulating things as far back as Gordon's initial hiring and assignmant.

I think this was just put down, alot of things have changed...for some reason i think its of irrelevance

As others have said, secretaries put their initials on memos/documents, so that it can be traced back.

That way if a typo ends up coming out to say "SHIT DOWN" instead of "SIT DOWN," the person who screwed up can be warned or dealt with/whatever
