Err... How come Halflife2.net's IP is so very much alike www.half-life2.com's? Halflife2.net's IP is 69.28.175.116 and Half-life2.com's IP is 69.28.175.117. The only other site that has 69.28.175 and a number that's close to 116 is steampowered.com and Steam's server site. Just how official is Halflife2.net? It's strange since I couldn't find any link to this place on Half-life2.com.

They are hosted by the same host. There was a time when this site needed a new host and Valve sorted them out. On the front page there's a link to the top right saying "Supported by Valve & Limelight Networks".

Limelight networks host the content servers (I think). They made a deal a while ago. It was well reported.
