Wipeout PS3 under development

Not really surprising but good news nevertheless.

In a recent interview with Clemens Wangerin, Development Director at SCEE Liverpool, he confirms the existence of a next generation Wipeout in development for PS3.

As quoted from "Develop" Magazine, "Wangerin can’t say much about either game yet, aside from acknowledge their existence, but providing “Sixaxis controls, maybe online multiplayer and downloadable content” to the latter, on a machine he says in fact “has a learning curve a lot easier than the vector units on the PS2” is what excites him. And with one PS3 title already in the can, “the challenge for us now is to stay ahead of the curve”."

It should be good...hopefully great. PS3 maybe doing bad in sales, but once the games come out, it'll be nice.

Isn't WipeOut franchise produced under SCEE? In that case, the odds of that happening are next to nil. I mean, this would be like expecting Halo to be ported over to PS3.

Couldn't care less about Wipeout. It always felt way too floaty. Probably more like a hovering car, but really... I want fun.
