My CPu average temperatures are between 52 and 60ºC, is that ok? I mean, the AMD website says that the max temp is 85ºC, but I'm not sure if working at¨60ºC is ok... The system temp is 44ºC. If these temps are too high, what would be a good ventilation lay-out?

Specs:

Athlon XP 2600+ (Barton), 1,91 Ghz
MoBo: NForce 2 Ultra 400 K7N2 Delta
1 G DDR Kingston
HDD 160GB (120GB, 40GBslave)
RADEON 9800PRO

Sounds like it to me that you have no case fans, is that the case? If you don't I suggest buying some.

Well, I got just one actually, blowing air in... but even so, are the temps too high?

Your temp. is not something to be alarmed about but I would recommend MaxiKana's suggestion. ;)
How is your room temp?

Do you have a rear fan blowing air out? (Not counting the Power Supply Fan)
Or is it one of those desktops that have a duct system? hehe

The room temp is about 22ºC and no, just have the one blowing air in... I'm thinking about getting two extra fans, one more to blow in (that I would install in the front side of the case), and one to blow out... would that be fine?

Generally, the front lower fan spot is an intake, and the back upper one is an exhaust. If you put it like that, it should work best. Also keep in mind that cables obstruct airflow.

So the back upper is the exhaust? The nearest to the CPU right? I'll have to take a depeer look into the cables...

Yeah, that's right.

I have my excess PSU power cables taped to the back of the mobo tray, also i've got rounded IDE cables to help airflow.

I got these same IDE round cables, but I'll try to do the same with the excess PSU cables... THX ALOT

NP, just trying to help.

Oh btw, this might sound silly, but disconnect your psu from the mains before tinkering with your pc, or you might look like this guy: :afro:
