Ok, with Bioshock approaching within days I feel worried about my current specs. Which are:

AMD X2 4800+
2 gig ram
evga 7900GT 256mb

I feel confident enough with my cpu and ram but worry about the video card.

What I would like to get is this:

EVGA 8800 GTS 640MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130071

Now I could just go balls out and get a GTX or Ultra but I plan to cut back and get the cheaper GTS and save money for when the next gen nvidia's come out. Plus I want to buy a 22" widescreen :O.

For the widescreen I have my eyes and crotch pointed at this:

ViewSonic Q22wb 22" 5ms http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116076

Now I just need some thoughts on if this seems like a smart upgrade or not. I feel extremely let down with ever buying the 7900 GT since I have barely played any games since I bought it.

instead of the 8800 gts get the 330 meg gs same gpu then later get another run them in sli if your mobo has 2 pci-e slots.

you are perfectly fine with those specs

Wouldn't worry about it too much. It might not run perfectly smooth on max settings, but it's not worth to upgrade to an 8800. The next generation of nvidia cards have been announced and will probably be introduced within a few months. They're rumoured to be twice as fast as the 8800gtx, so it might very well be worth waiting for.
