I was attempting to install Half Life 2 when my PC restarted. It got thru installing Steam, but apparently it corrupted the process altogether. I can't seem to install it now. Everytime I put the CD in, I can click "Install Half Life 2" but when I do an error message pops up and says that the program "msiexec.exe" has created an error.
My specs are:
Windows XP
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1.5 Gig RAM
Seagate SATAII 120G HDD
Gigabyte Mobo
nVidia 6800 GT
the only thing I've done recently is overclock my PC by 100 MHz, up to 2.3 GHz, so it shouldn't have created the error, unless I just have a shytee PC
